Nouvelle Vague

A few nights ago I saw an amazing new band from France called Nouvelle Vague.
The songs are from our New Wave past, low-fi'd for the lounge crew. Great versions of The Clash's "Guns of Brixton" , Sisters of Mercy "Marian" and XTC's "Making Plans for Nigel". After their set was over they came back and played a wicked version of an errie Bauhaus tune. And during "Too Drunk To Fuck" the two singers ran off the stage and jumped on the bar encouraging us to sing along. A few French friends of mine who now live here were there to cheer them on.
There are so few bands or events that have any style any more so its very important to support them whenever they are in town. Try to see this great group!
